Vet Care

“It matters not if medicine is old or new, so long as it can cure
It matters not if theories come from East or West, as long as they be true.”
Jen-Hsou Lin, Taipei

I have been practising and still practice Modern Western-style Veterinary medicine. It is fantastic and a must for acute emergencies, traumatic illness and to treat many other conditions. However, it can be sometimes limiting in its approach especially while dealing with chronic problems.  After practicing conventional veterinary medicine for twenty years, I have realized that there is definitely more to veterinary medicine. My Indian heritage has imbibed in me and taught me the compelling truth that, it is very important to treat the root of a health problem rather than just easing the symptoms. Only then, real healing can occur in both the human and the animal body.

Medicine is not and cannot just be a physical medicine. There is a need to heal the spirit. I felt a strong need to develop a spiritual understanding with my animal patient which is near to impossible in a 10 minute consultation. I wanted to spend more time with each pet and use a more rounded and holistic approach. I even trained in Animal communication to help me understand their needs better. After studying therapeutic modalities like Acupuncture, Traditional Veterinary Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Animal Healing and Herbal medicine, I definitely feel that I am able to understand illness and treat animals much better. I feel better equipped now with more tools in my tool-box. Now I feel I am able to deal with intriguing cases using a newer perspective and an integrated approach. By combining the best of both – modern and ancient medicine, I believe we can help and heal more pets, more effectively.

One shoe doesn’t fit all. Each living being is unique. What works for one may not work for another. Please contact me by email with your pet’s problem and we can then come up with the perfect Holistic integrated approach to deal with it.
